Marisela & Alex had a big, beautiful wedding that, in every way, celebrated their Mexican culture- and it was so fun to photograph. From Alex’s traditional, custom-made Charro suit, to the Mariachi band that played throughout the ceremony, the cultural elements couldn’t be missed which made for a really special day for the couple, their families and friends.
The ceremony took place at St. Monica’s Catholic Church in Santa Monica.

Marisela had two looks on her wedding day. This first, more classic look was inspired by Grace Kelly and featured sleeves on her dress, a high hair up-do, a long train and, of course, a cathedral-length veil.
So, so beautiful.
You may recognize Gabby there on the right- she I photographed her wedding in June in Texas!
Then it was time to head to the reception venue for a quick change for Marisela and a few more portraits before the party started. This dress may look like a completely different dress, but it’s actually the same dress that transformed! The big long skirt came off, as did the sleeves, and what was left was this beautiful mermaid-style gown that was perfect for the dance party.
A favorite. 🙂
They had their reception at Pacific Palms Resort in City of Industry.
Congratulations, Marisela & Alex!!

Love the veil in the wind! Genius!
