I cannot believe I haven’t posted anything in a month! I have been incredibly busy with many things all going on at once. Also, I went to Iowa and Wisconsin a few weeks ago to visit some of Ryan’s family and to see a Packers game in Green Bay. We lost to Chicago, but we still had a great time! I have a bunch of great photos from the trip that I’m going to try to post this week.
Until then, I shot a wedding yesterday with Kim Fox in Topanga Canyon. It was a bit of a trek down Topanga Canyon Blvd., but was so worth it. The wedding was really beautiful and so full of genuine emotion. I came home last night and, despite exhaustion from a very long week, started editing photos right away because I was so excited about what I captured.
This post also marks a migration to a new look for Heather Kincaid Photography. I have been busy working on my new Web site, which I’m designing myself. It’s been such a challenge to come up with something that I am truly happy with, but I think I finally found it! I hope to have it up-and-running by December! So exciting….
Plus… I have been experimenting with textures in my post-processing and finally have some photos that really fit with using some texture to spice them up a bit. I love the thought of using texture to complete a vision I had at the moment I snapped the shutter. I hope I accomplished that here… Enjoy!
Here is the lovely Liz getting ready.
Another angle… I love both of these photos… I just couldn’t choose between the two!
Yes! A red dress! Liz found this at a sample sale and it fit her perfectly. She said, “If anyone is going to wear a red wedding dress, it’s going to be me!” I love when bride’s are willing to be daring and different on their wedding day. It truly fit her personality and made the day her own. Steve didn’t know anything about the dress! He was totally surprised when she walked down and he saw her for the first time. When asked later what he thought… “I was blown away!”
The flowers were absolutely stunning! I wasn’t able to get the name of the florist, but they did a fabulous job.
The Inn of the Seventh Ray is right next to a New Age store in Topanga Canyon. They had these great buddhas sprinkled around the venue. This, right next to the entrance of the women’s restroom.
One of the many great moments during the ceremony.
A portrait of the bride. The light was so great after the ceremony.
A couple romantics of the newlyweds. Kim and I were both having fun with some sun flare… you know we love it.
The grand entrance. I love the expression on Liz’s face!
Congratulations! Have a great time in Spain! (I’m so jealous.)
