Last weekend I spent a really fun afternoon with Edmund and Brooke, a lovely couple who have been married for about a year and a half and just wanted some great images to place around their home. Edmund is a fellow photographer– I forget exactly how we got in touch with each other, but it was thanks to some kind of online form of communication. (Blog comment? B School? email? All of the above?) I love getting to know other photographers, especially photographers in the area because it’s always nice to have people to contact for advice, or just to go out on fun shoots together. The day of our shoot was the first day we actually had the pleasure of meeting in person, and he and Brooke are so much fun! They are sweet and kind and were great in front of the camera.
This shoot was a fun challenge because of the time of day we had to shoot and because I wasn’t familiar with the area, but that really made me think out of the box. Thanks to my friend Katie for keeping me company on the drive to Victorville and then being an excellent reflector holder during the shoot!
Love Brooke’s expression in these. Happiness.
Those eyes!
Lost in Translation movie full Hands down my favorite image of the day. My excitement after getting this shot was immeasurable.
Love this one, too.
Edmund is not only a talented photographer, he is also a very skilled skater. He thought it’d be fun to incorporate some skate tricks into some of the shots. Loved it!
Finally, I took a few portraits of Edmund alone for his Web site. Love the three of these… I think they portray the fun, kind guy behind the lens.
Brooke and Edmund,
Thanks for such a fun afternoon! Sorry we couldn’t grab dinner together, but we will get together again soon!
