When I first met with Lauren and AJ, I knew we were a perfect match. I wholeheartedly believe that a photographer and his or her clients should share a vision– a vision for how their photos should look and feel and a vision for how to best portray the relationship of the clients through images. It’s my job as the photographer to creatively guide a couple so that the images that result are the best they possibly can be. I am always creatively inspired by the story of the couple: their likes, hobbies, history, style… When we first met, Lauren mentioned a love for the vintage feel. We took that idea and ran with it… it was a collaborative effort to find the best hairstyle, wardrobe, locations and props. It was so. much. fun! We did two parts to the shoot so I’ll be posting them separately.
First up, we went downtown to Union Station. It was the perfect setting for part of their vintage-styled shoot.
I was in love with Lauren’s shoes! So perfect for a pop of color.
From the Sneak Peek. Special note: My mom has been collecting vintage train cases for the past few years. She really loves them and I’m so glad I could make them famous and include them in this fun session. They were perfect! Thanks, Mom. 🙂
AJ was looking very dapper.
And Lauren was just so hot – she rocked it.
Lauren worked her negotiation skills to get access to an area of the station where nobody is supposed to go. Thanks so much to that very kind security guard for letting us beyond the barricade!
Love this one.
And this one is my favorite… that light coming through those windows… come on!
The next part of the engagement session is just as fabulous, but feels a little different…
You. Are. Amazing. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!!
these are so freaking awesome! rad shoot! (it’s so good, i just used the words rad, awesome, and freaking in one comment hahaha)
Truly amazing. I’ve never seen Union Station look so magical 🙂
LOVE! But I don’t need to tell you that. You’re always spectacular.
Heather Kincaid has the ability to catch all the layers of a moment and then sprinkle that extra coating of magic as if we are watching a story unfold in one still frame. Heather, these shots are sharp, subtly edgy, and oh so classic at the same time (forever stylish)… the angles and quiet intimacy is your signature language speaking humbly yet again. The outcome is a tribute to your personality meshing with your subjects. Clearly you guys had a plan and captured it! Great cloths, great location and what a fun couple… it’s like this cool show coming out-where do I set my Tivo?!
Love these photos Heather, They are classic and so well styled! You’ve made me want to go explore Union Station!
You are SOOOO good, these are some of the most amazing e-session pictures I’ve seen, period. I love the colour, the light.. perfect lens choices.. coupe looks aMAZING.. Lauren is SOO beautiful. wow, I’m gob-smacked. So amazing Heather.
