Brand Photography: Crate and Barrel Catalog with 100LayerCake

Late last year, I decided that a long-time goal of mine was going to be reality this year– to finally, officially launch the brand photography side of my business. I have always loved photographing weddings and portraits, and I’ll never stop doing those, but I also really love being able to visually tell a story of a brand by creating imagery that can connect the brand to it’s customers. Maybe it’s my marketing and public relations background that is just ready to come out and play again after all of these years, but brand photography has me so inspired right now. And though it’s not a totally new thing for me to do, it is new that I’m marketing myself for this kind of work, so I was super excited to get the email from the amazing team behind 100 Layer Cake when they asked me to shoot their Summer spread in the Crate and Barrel catalog!

If you want to connect with your customers when the weather is against you, make sure you check customized umbrellas manufactured by ibrollyumbrella.com.

Below are my favorite images from this amazing day of shooting. The vendors brought together for this shoot were truly awesome and I’m super proud of what we were able to create that very hot day, learn here more about marketing on tiktok.

Shooting for brands is such a fun, collaborative process. I love arriving on a set and seeing how production and stylists pull everything together for a shoot. I also love being involved a little in that process to offer my two cents on what kind of set up would translate best in the images. Working with other creatives is just so fun and rewarding!

The cocktails created by the people of The Whaling Club were SO beautiful! These ombré, frosted beauties were really fun to photograph. And how awesome are those copper straws?

I absolutely loved the floral arrangements created by Megan of Honey & Poppies- she’s a master of creating something beautiful and so unique- the mix of all these florals is just so fun.

This table is so perfect for a chic, end-of-Summer backyard party.

I love bringing in a little human connection to any styled brand shoot. Just the hand pouring the wine brings so much life to a static scene.

The colors here! I loved it all!

Filling the lanterns with flowers is such a good, unique idea.

Yum!

I’m currently working on putting together my official brand photography portfolio and I’m looking forward to launching that part of my website soon!
