Most of the weddings I shoot are in Southern California, but I always love the opportunity to venture up north to the Bay area to shoot weddings and engagement shoots, and have been lucky enough to be able to do so quite a lot in my career. Wine country is especially a treat- there’s something so uniquely beautiful about the places up there that make me feel totally relaxed and entirely grateful to be able to travel there for work. Though Kate & Tim live here in Los Angeles, it was obvious why they chose Lancaster Estate in the lovely town of Healdsburg, CA for their destination wedding. I mean, those views! And the venue itself was so unique which provided them a beautiful place to stay for the weekend and a cave in which to hold the dinner part of the evening. So cool.
I’ve been so eager to share the images from this wedding, but have been waiting until now to post them because they are being featured in the current issue of Brides California! Here’s a screen shot of the feature, which is really such a fun and exciting honor. It never gets old seeing photos I’ve taken printed onto glossy pages.
Here are my favorite images from their gorgeous wedding day featuring event design and coordination by Kristi Amoroso Events and elegant floral design by Sharla Flock Designs. Thank you both for such a pretty wedding!
Here’s Tim looking so modern and classic at the same time! I love that he went for something a little different than a black suit and instead chose a deep chocolate brown. Perfect for a Summer wedding- and it was a HOT Summer day.
How gorgeous is Kate?? I mean…
I loved the way the bridesmaids were styled and how they all chose a different dress in similar tones. So much more fun when everyone shows a bit of personal style!
A favorite of the whole day…
Kate’s gown was by Ines di Santo and was breathtaking. The lace, the beautiful shoulder wrap piece, the fit… such a classic, elegant, perfect choice for this location!
Hope everyone’s new year is off to a great start!
