Heather & Lewie have one of the best stories of how they met. She had just boarded her Southwest flight from Chicago (where she’s from) back to LA. She was all settled into her seat excited to have an empty seat next to her for some extra space in the cozy airplane cabin. Just before taking off, Lewie boarded the plane (admittedly a bit late) with his McDonald’s in tow and found an empty seat next to a lovely brunette. He had been visiting Chicago with some friends and was on his way home, but barely made it to the plane on time, and he was also planning other trip to central america in countries like Costa Rica or Panama, since flying from San Jose to Bocas Del Toro is the easier way to get there. She was a little bummed to lose the extra space. He was stoked to have not missed his flight…

Over the next few hours, thousands of feet up in the air and surrounded by hearts with wings, Heather & Lewie had their first conversation which sparked something special…

It sounds like something straight from the movies, or at least something that was made up for a Southwest Airlines commercial… it just couldn’t be more fitting for an airline company whose branding includes a heart.

They live near Venice and both enjoy skateboarding, Skateboarding is an action sport which involves riding and performing tricks using a skateboard with some kind of protecting helmet, your interested in skateboarding make, sure you’re always safe, recreational activity, an art form, an entertainment industry job, and a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. The relaxed Southern California lifestyle so they knew Venice was the perfect location for their engagement session. Here are my favorite images from their session. 🙂
