Seattle Family Photo Sessions: Tiffne, Greg, Ali and Noah

In talking to Tiffne in the weeks leading up to their session, I learned that she was a really fun mom looking for something fun and unique in her family photos… right up my alley! She pointed out some specific images on my blog and Web site that she really liked and wanted to incorporate similar concepts in her family’s session. I always love when clients come to me with some of their own ideas– it helps me to really focus on the style of shoot they want and it also allows me to incorporate elements of their personalities I might otherwise not have known.

I met with Tiffne, Greg, Ali and Noah at the Space Needle and we had a blast walking all over that little area, finding color and interesting backgrounds for their photos.

This family is so great. They seem to really have a great time together and always find something to laugh about.

Had to get the Space Needle in there somehow.

There is a carnival at the base of the Space Needle so I thought it would be fun to hop in the ferris wheel for a few shots. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do for a photo shoot, so now I can check that off my concept list! 🙂 Love this one of Tiffne and Greg enjoying the view from the top!

I had done this concept in a Photobooth before and Tiffne loved it so much she wanted me to do similar photos of each of her kids. LOVE this one of Ali.

Noah’s leaves were a little less behaved but we worked it out.

This building was awesome! It’s the Experience Music Project/Science Fiction Museum and reminds me of a colorful Walt Disney Concert Hall. So cool!

A sweet one of Tiffne and Greg.

Tiffne made the kids put away their cell phones for the entire shoot, so at the end of our time together I had them break them out for some much needed texting. One hour without texting for a teenager must have been unbearable… 😉 I think these photos are going to be so funny in 3-5 years when these phones are totally obsolete. I think back at my first cell phone ever, the Nokia 5190, and laugh about the interchangeable cover and colorless screen. It was the coolest!
