As I posted about here earlier this year, I’ve been really into Instagram lately. It’s such a great way to keep my eye looking for interesting ways to shoot and capture my daily life, even when I don’t have my “big camera” with me. Plus, it has a social feature to the app which makes it really fun to share images with my friends and also to see what they’re up to. I love the uniformity of the square images on the app. I usually shoot at least a couple images a day, so it’s fun to get them all together every now and then to view a quick snapshot of my life and the things I’ve seen.
Here are a few of my favorite images that pretty much sum up my April so far…
1. The amazing sunset we saw on the beach one night while celebrating my good friend’s birthday with a beach bonfire. Such a fun night! Looking forward to more bonfires with that group. 🙂
2. Shadow Bump Self-portrait. Still have the bump and love finding new ways to document this exciting time in my life.
3. Painting a little something for baby’s room. Trying to keep going with creative projects while I’m taking it easy on work projects during this maternity leave.
4. The baby room almost done! I wanted to keep it white, airy and fresh with bright pops of color throughout. Still have a few little things to add, but it’s mostly ready for our baby girl. We found that dresser and refinished it ourselves using an awesome aqua paint and miscellaneous colorful knobs I found at Anthropologie, on Etsy and at a local antique store. It’s already my favorite room in our house. 🙂
5. A reminder of some truly perfect weather we had here in LA this month. Today and the past few days it’s been a little rainy and cloudy, but this day was beyond gorgeous and I drove around doing all my errands with the windows down. Looking forward to more days like that soon!
