I have been looking forward to Ashley & Alex’s wedding ever since I heard they were getting married at this amazing venue – the Marrakesh House in Culver City! Not only is it incredibly visually unique with all the colors and textures, but it also is one of Southern California’s most environmentally friendly homes having been purchased by documentary film director Chris Paine (director of the acclaimed film Who Killed the Electric Car?) in 2007 and transformed to be a model for sustainable living in the 21st century. It has a great story, a great feel and provided a beautiful backdrop for Ashley & Alex’s big day.
Here are my favorite images from their wedding. Click here to see their engagement session at the Culver Hotel earlier this year.
Yellow Christian Louboutin’s with bows on the side 🙂 🙂
So many amazing colorful walls! First up- Alex rocking the gray suit.
Ashley looked so beautiful. And this yellow, patterned wall rocked my world.
Next up- this amazing blue wall, perfect light, and a super cute couple.
The ceremony.
More time for portraits in the amazing tea house on the property.
Wine was a very important detail to the day – Alex spent many hours tasting wines and finding the perfect two to offer their wedding guests.
The space really came to life at night… it really felt magical.
Congratulations, Ashley & Alex!
