Sylvia and Andy currently live in Jakarta, Indonesia, but they met here in Los Angeles while they were both attending college here a few years ago. They had been planning a trip to LA together for a vacation and wanted to take their engagement photos here since this is where their relationship began. This was a big trip for them, and they wanted photos in three locations so we arranged a 2-day engagement session. This first day was shot in Manhattan Beach and on 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica. Part 2 at Disneyland will be posted soon!
Before they booked, I was able to βmeetβ Sylvia & Andy over Skype. I just love technology for allowing me to have a face-to-face meeting with my clients from afar before our sessions- it makes meeting them in person the day of their session so much easier. During our Skype meeting, Sylvia was so sweet and bubbly, I really felt we would have a great time shooting togetherβ¦ and then she showed up in this cobalt blue maxi dress, and that feeling was solidified. π Gorgeous!!

After sunset in Manhattan Beach, we headed to 3rd Street Promenade for some editorial-style night shots. How fabulous is Sylviaβs dress?
