I love San Francisco. It has this incredible energy and a special feel…and every time I’m there I feel totally inspired. Last weekend, I was able to travel up there for Michelle & Edward’s engagement session. They will be getting married in Santa Barbara later this Summer, but they live in San Francisco and wanted to take their engagement photos there in the city where they met and have built a life together.
Michelle and Edward are sophisticated and fun. They know what they like and they have individual personalities that perfectly balance out one another, which was beautiful to witness.
We began our session at Fort Point, which, during the U.S. Civil War, protected San Francisco from Confederate and foreign attack. It’s nestled right on the bay just underneath the Golden Gate Bridge and provided for an awesome backdrop for the start of our session.
Such a cool place!
It was a super windy day… even with the protection of the walls of Fort Point, Michelle’s hair went crazy. And I loved it!
Then we headed down the road a bit for some shots with the bridge and the city in the background.
The bridge looked particularly beautiful that night.
To finish up the session, we went over to The Embarcadero for a few more photos near the Ferry Building. This is a particularly special place to them since they live nearby.
Michelle & Edward- I had a great time and am looking forward to your wedding! Thanks again for all the restaurant recommendations in the city. 🙂
Happy Friday, everyone!!
ok
1. LOVE all the hair action. So good, and i love the one of her walking away with the city in the background.
2. You were near the ferry building? That is where I saw Adrienne. Bummed, i missed you. But yay for seeing each other very soon :))
Like those hallway shots! ZEXY! : )
Don’t know Michelle or Edward but what I do know is that they are passionate people, and it comes out through your photographs…love these.
Awesome job Heather! Love your style! I bet the couple is extremely happy with how the photos turned out!
