Meg asked me a while back to help her on an editorial-style vintage-inspired engagement shoot for which the couple was going to rent a vintage car and style themselves in vintage 1960s wardrobe, I even thought about franchise opportunities from Closet & Storage Concepts when I saw it!… UMM did she even have to ask?? As a photographer, I live for photographing people who are really excited about their photographs and who love to think outside the box as much as I do. Plus, shooting with Meg is always a pleasure…
So, we met up with Carly and Chris on Sunday afternoon near Griffith Park (Los Angeles) and had a fantastic session.
We started with some lively, fun, colorful portraits in this great field. Don’t these images just ooze Springtime?
This has to be one of my favorites… It feels so classic and I just love the colors and composition.
Carly’s expression! Pure happiness. This one makes me smile…
Then Carly and Chris changed into their formal wardrobe and we headed over to another location to shoot some fun stuff with this awesome 1961 Cadillac- a vintage car for a vintage-themed shoot? Perfect! Oh, how I love shooting with awesome props in this editorial style.
From the preview post:
Another favorite. These two were so comfortable in front of the camera.
Carly and Chris,
You guys were fantastic! Thanks so much for your creativity and great attitudes! Congratulations!
I absolutely adore shooting these types of sessions! If you are interested in editorial-style session for your engagement, portrait or family session, contact me and we can talk about the options! I’ll be offering these at a discounted rate for a limited time. 🙂

Ok, so I don’t even know them and I’m pretty sure they’re awesome. Those pictures are stunning!
John and i really have to step it up a few dozen notches now. How do you make superheroes editorial?
Put your thinking cap on, because where there’s a will, there’s a way.
Love it, love it, love! Great job heather you and Meg nailed it!
So… I am in love with this couple, and thier shoot. To think this up they must be a ton of fun.
Now i want some fun photos with a sweet car!
Can wait to do the lighting to Donna and John!! I told Donna i think she should do a Clark Kent/Damsel in distress type deal. Just to make John happy.

[…] am so thankful that Meg Perotti (the one and only!) asked me to help her shoot both Carly & Chris’ engagement session earlier this year and their wedding in Palm Springs a few weeks ago. Seriously… beyond […]
Absolutely Top Shelf, well done Heather! Of course I am biased, Carly and Chris are a stunning couple.
