I always love getting to go up to Northern California every chance I get. Actually, I just love getting to venture out of LA from time to time no matter where I go, but I especially love traveling up north for weddings because it allows me to have fun shooting while at the same time giving me an excuse to get together with friends and family who live up there.
I was happy to join my friend Chris to help shoot Amie and Nic’s great backyard wedding near Stockton, CA a few weekends ago. The wedding was held in the big, beautiful backyard of Nic’s family home- we were graced with some great light which made for some great photos. 🙂 Here are a few of my favorite shots from the wedding, which just happen to be mostly portraits of the happy bride and groom. 🙂

As often as possible, I like to experiment with different types of shooting… Here I was experimenting with pockets of harsh light and really love the result.
