A Beverly Wilshire Wedding – Beverly Hills – Melissa & David

I am SO happy I finally get to share the images from one of my favorite weddings of 2012 – the gorgeous, elaborate, amazing wedding celebration of Melissa & David, a couple I find so kind and wonderful that I smile whenever I think about them. Brides Magazine honored me when they featured this wedding in their June/July 2013 issue that is all about color palettes, which I blogged about here. Today they released the online companion article for the big day, so I thought it was the perfect day to show some of my favorite images (and there are many).

The team at JOWY Productions are always fantastic, but they outdid themselves with this wedding at the Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills. And the fabulous Eric Buterbaugh showcased his talent with the flower design. Thanks to all of them, I was wowed by each element of this wedding- the attention to detail was precise and was the perfect showcase of how much they love what they do.

I first met Melissa when she and her mom came to meet with me to discuss what they wanted from a photographer on their big day, and I fell in love with them both immediately. Their energy and excitement for this event, and the obvious love that Melissa had for David, was palpable. Melissa is a very talented and accomplished interior designer so I knew that not only would this be a beautiful wedding because of the decor, but I also knew that it would be a beautiful celebration of two happy families joining together which are always my favorite to photograph no matter the dress the bride wears or the flower she carries.

But, like I said, this wedding had the best of both worlds as evidenced in this selection of images from the day. Enjoy!

These huge flags that hung along the front of the Beverly Wilshire Hotel set the tone for the grand event right when guests arrived. These flags were massive and so great!

Melissa chose a beautiful gown by Monique Lhuillier and had her bridesmaids gowns custom designed and made with a variety of fabrics she selected to keep the color palette both feminine, soft and modern all at the same time. I loved how each of the 10 gowns had it’s own flavor.

The amazing Fiore Beauty did Melissa’s makeup and also all the hair and makeup for her girls.

Melissa’s dad seeing is daughter in her wedding dress for the first time… <3

The flower girl was so cute!

Love them. <3

These ceremony programs were so fun!

A petal shoot definitely adds something special to the first kiss…

The ballroom was totally transformed with a custom dance floor designed by Melissa and special chandeliers brought in just for them.

This was my favorite tablescape- tables with petals layered under the glass.

Congratulations again, Melissa & David! So glad I was able to be there to witness it all! xo
