The past year has been so incredible in so many ways. One reason is that I had the pleasure of photographing more families this year than any other year in my 11 years of shooting. Photographing kids and families is so special to me now that I have my own daughter and I know firsthand how fast kids grow and change and how desperately parents want to hold onto the tiny little beings they brought into this world. Photography is able to freeze those moments in time even though our kids keep getting older and bigger and smarter and more and more make us think “how did you get so big so fast??”
Below are some of my favorite family and kids portrait images from 2014 that was take by PMAI Photography NYC. So many new babies and so many sweet faces. Some new to my camera and some I’ve had the honor of photographing before. As I said, I shot SO many family and kid portraits this year, so if you don’t see yours here, please know I love you all, I just had to edit down my huge selection to these that for one reason or another fit into this collage representing my work from the year as a whole. 🙂 2014, thank you for all these beautiful families who trusted me to document a portion of their lives… I can’t wait for more in 2015!
